Bramhanand Lingala: Architecting the Backbone of Enterprise-Scale Data Systems

For more than two decades, Bramhanand Lingala has been at the forefront of transforming how large organizations architect, secure, and scale their most critical data infrastructure. A senior leader in database and cloud engineering, Lingala has guided enterprises across financial services, telecommunications, utilities, and global construction through complex modernization journeys—bridging legacy platforms with resilient, cloud-native architectures that operate at massive scale.

At Fidelity Investments, Lingala plays a central role in architecting multi-region Aurora PostgreSQL platforms supporting Core Brokerage and Tax Cost Basis Engine modernization. Using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation with Terraform and Jenkins, he has delivered a highly integrated platform serving more than 40 applications and 900 internal users, processing billions of transactions each month with full environment parity and operational consistency.

His technical expertise spans both relational and distributed data systems, with deep specialization in Oracle and PostgreSQL ecosystems as well as high-performance NoSQL platforms such as Aerospike and CockroachDB. Within Fidelity’s Institutional Wealth Management Solutions platform, Lingala designed real-time data architectures that reduced data retrieval latency by 50 percent and delivered 30 percent cost savings. A multi-region CockroachDB deployment achieved 99.99 percent uptime while saving more than 400 engineering hours annually—demonstrating his ability to align architectural rigor with measurable operational efficiency.

Security and compliance are foundational elements of Lingala’s work. Across environments, he has implemented Kerberos authentication, KMS-based encryption policies, and unified access-control frameworks to protect sensitive customer data while meeting stringent regulatory requirements. His solutions consistently balance performance, resilience, and trust—an essential requirement in regulated industries.

Previously at Equifax, Lingala led the migration of 30 mission-critical applications from Oracle to Aurora PostgreSQL. By architecting end-to-end migration frameworks using AWS SCT, DMS, STRIIM, and ora2pg, and embedding automation through CI/CD pipelines and compatibility analysis workflows, he improved migration efficiency by 60 percent while maintaining near-zero downtime during production cutovers. The initiative significantly reduced Oracle licensing and infrastructure costs while preserving business continuity.

His earlier career reflects similar large-scale impact. At Kansas City Power & Light, Lingala led multi-terabyte Oracle database migrations to Exadata, implementing Oracle GoldenGate for high availability and Data Guard for disaster recovery—resulting in a 50 percent performance improvement and faster billing operations. At AT&T, he designed replication architectures supporting Solaris-to-Linux migrations for the MRI platform, deploying Oracle RAC and Data Guard to achieve 99.99 percent uptime and a 60 percent improvement in query response times.

At Leighton Contractors, Lingala modernized Oracle ERP systems using RAC and GoldenGate integration with OBIEE, enabling real-time reporting for more than 15,000 users. Automation of monthly database cloning reduced provisioning time by 60 percent and manual errors by 40 percent, while targeted SQL tuning delivered a further 60 percent performance gain.

Across his career, the platforms Lingala has delivered process billions of transactions, support thousands of users, and underpin business-critical operations worldwide. His work has consistently driven infrastructure cost reductions of up to 40 percent, performance improvements of 50–60 percent, and uptime exceeding 99.95 percent. His professional credentials—including Google Certified Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Associate, and ITIL Foundation certification—reflect a sustained commitment to technical excellence and continuous learning.

Equally important is Lingala’s role as a mentor and enabler of engineering teams. He has championed reusable frameworks, standardized engineering practices, and cross-functional collaboration across DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams—fostering cultures of operational excellence and reducing organizational risk.

Through a career defined by scale, security, and measurable impact, Bramhanand Lingala exemplifies the senior technologist whose work quietly but decisively powers modern digital enterprises.
