Krantikumar Guduru is an enterprise modernization and data-platform architect with 19+ years of international experience delivering large-scale IT transformation across government services, retail, healthcare, energy, and logistics. His career has been built around one of the most difficult categories of enterprise engineering: migrating mission-critical systems from legacy platforms to modern cloud and engineered infrastructure—without breaking continuity for thousands of users and without compromising data integrity, security, or auditability.

Guduru’s expertise spans the full lifecycle of complex migrations—from legacy DB2 and Natural/Adabas environments to modern Oracle stacks and cloud-native platforms on AWS and Azure. He is recognized for executing high-stakes moves where the “hard part” is not the database engine itself, but the orchestration: translating code paths, remapping data models, maintaining performance, validating correctness at scale, and ensuring disaster recovery and security controls remain provable throughout cutover.

At Deloitte, Guduru served as a Data Migration SME and Specialist Master across multiple state government initiatives, architecting migrations of substantial, mission-critical datasets. On the State of New Mexico Child Support system, he functioned as the sole Database Administrator, designing Oracle 19c environments on AWS EC2, implementing Data Guard for disaster recovery, and establishing enterprise observability through Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4. In parallel, he contributed to the New Jersey Pensions transformation—an end-to-end migration from Natural/Adabas and DB2 into Oracle Exadata (EXACC08)—work requiring both careful code translation and deep performance optimization to achieve production readiness at enterprise scale.

At Vanguard, Guduru led geographically distributed teams across the United States, Germany, and India, delivering foundational platform innovations. He implemented the firm’s first five-node DB2 LUW PureScale cluster, introduced AWS Glue for ETL operations, and delivered significant query performance gains through advanced SQL tuning—demonstrating a rare combination of platform engineering, cross-team leadership, and performance science. Across these roles, his technical breadth includes Oracle versions 8.x through 24ai, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and DB2 LUW, along with advanced high-availability and replication capabilities such as Oracle RAC, Exadata, GoldenGate bi-directional replication, and PureScale clustering.

Guduru has repeatedly delivered quantifiable business impact in high-volume retail. At Pamten Inc., supporting Kohl’s nationwide footprint of 1,158 stores, he led operations for 400+ servers while architecting and administering hundreds of databases supporting mainframe migration initiatives. He executed capacity planning across major environments and drove migrations from Exadata to V-disk-based virtual machines, while also improving reliability and reducing operational overhead through automation of routine administrative workflows—resulting in reported annual savings exceeding $237,000. His technical work included engineering zero-downtime database upgrades using GoldenGate, implementing uni-directional replication from Oracle to MySQL, and deploying Oracle 18c Global Data Services with Active Data Guard, reflecting deep capability in workload distribution, resilience engineering, and continuity planning.

His portfolio also includes modernization and platform work at State Farm (Oracle 19c upgrades on Exadata X8-2, migrations from end-of-life systems), Teach for America (end-to-end DBA transitions including non-Exadata to Exadata migrations, upgrades, and Oracle-to–SQL Server migration using SSMA), and BELK Inc. (alert management, automation of critical processes, and disaster recovery and backup strategy implementation to reduce manual intervention and operational risk).

Earlier in his career, Guduru delivered enterprise database operations and security across high-scale environments. At FedEx Services (via Sai Technologies), he administered SQL Server 2012 and Oracle platforms, configured AlwaysOn and transactional replication, implemented Virtual Private Database (VPD) policies, and supported automation enablement through CHEF training. At Nordstrom, he managed databases exceeding 17.6TB, performing extensive Oracle RAC administration, implementing Physical Standby databases with Active Data Guard, and migrating 10g databases from Non-ASM to ASM. At Genpact supporting GE Energy Management, he implemented Oracle RAC, built RMAN backup strategies, executed cloning workflows, and tuned SQL using Oracle Enterprise Manager. At Secutron Technologies supporting Cerner Healthcare, he delivered comprehensive database security implementations, Oracle Applications support (including HRMS databases), reporting via Oracle Discoverer, and disciplined backup and recovery with RMAN—work that sits squarely in the “trust layer” of healthcare data operations.

A consistent differentiator in Guduru’s career is leadership that builds organizational capability. He has led teams of up to 28 resources across offshore/on-site Centers of Excellence, developed proprietary data transformation algorithms, produced operational documentation that scales knowledge beyond individuals, and mentored engineers transitioning from legacy mainframe practices into modern cloud and engineered systems. His certifications—Oracle Expert/Professional, AWS Solutions Architect, PMP, Certified Scrum Master, and ITIL—underscore a career that blends deep technical specialization with program execution discipline.

Across public-sector systems such as child support enforcement and pension administration, Guduru’s work reflects responsible technology practice: rigorous data protection, disaster recovery planning, and alignment with security standards (including FIPS-2 encryption) to safeguard sensitive information while enabling citizens to access essential digital services. His record is best understood as the work of an engineer who specializes in continuity: ensuring that modernization happens without breaking the systems society relies on.
