REJENISH KIRAN
Manager - Software QA Engineering at Citizens Property Insurance Corporation

FELLOW MEMBER
Rejenish Kiran is a senior software quality engineering leader with 25+ years of experience building and scaling QA organizations for mission-critical enterprise systems across insurance, financial services, healthcare, and retail. His career has been defined by a consistent mandate: reduce delivery risk while accelerating modernization—through rigorous governance, automation transformation, data-quality discipline, and, more recently, AI-enabled testing strategies. Rather than treating QA as a downstream checkpoint, Kiran’s work positions quality engineering as an operational capability that protects revenue, compliance, and customer trust.
In his role as Manager, Software QA Engineering at Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (since November 2016), Kiran has led multi-year quality programs that touch core insurance platforms, data ecosystems, and cloud migration initiatives. His leadership spans manual and automation testing, backend validation, and data quality governance—building repeatable frameworks, metrics, and oversight models that standardize how large programs measure readiness and control risk.
A notable inflection point in Kiran’s recent work is the launch of an AI-powered test execution enablement initiative (December 2025), which established the organization’s first structured AI-assisted testing framework. This effort combined practical test execution acceleration with responsible-use guidelines—signaling a quality leader who approaches AI adoption as both a capability expansion and a governance challenge. In parallel, he has led modernization of the Enterprise Litigation Management System (ELMS/ELMS Ascend) since August 2023, supporting a high-visibility program serving legal and claims users through a blend of structured QA governance, automation, and AI-assisted prioritization.
Kiran has also been central to large-scale platform and data modernization work. He led the Citizens Business Insurance Suite (CBIS) cloud migration (August 2024–May 2025), safeguarding millions of policy records while achieving stable rollout with minimal post–go-live issues. Earlier, he drove the organization’s Enterprise Data Warehouse QA Framework (2017–2020), establishing the first comprehensive data validation standards, metrics, and governance models reused across multiple modernization initiatives. His track record includes guiding core platform version upgrades with zero production rollbacks while preventing thousands of critical data discrepancies—outcomes that reflect disciplined release quality, rigorous validation, and strong stakeholder alignment.
Technically, Kiran’s expertise covers enterprise QA strategy and governance, with depth across insurance platforms such as Guidewire (Policy, Billing, Claims), cloud migration testing, data warehouse/ETL validation, and automation modernization using tools including Selenium and Parasoft SOAtest. His delivery model experience includes Agile and Scaled Agile Framework execution, with strong alignment to DevOps QA practices, shift-left strategies, and risk-based testing.
Before joining Citizens, Kiran spent 12 years at UST Global (2004–2016), progressing through offshore and onsite leadership roles supporting Fortune 500 clients across multiple industries. This period strengthened his operating model for distributed QA organizations—balancing execution rigor, client accountability, and scalable standards across complex testing engagements.
Kiran’s leadership has been recognized through multiple awards (including leader recognitions and modernization program awards), and he remains active in QA governance and innovation initiatives—continuously refining standards, metrics, and modernization playbooks while staying current on cloud and AI-driven quality engineering practices.
