Saranya Balasubramaniyan, a seasoned technology professional with nearly 13 years of experience, has established herself as a leader in cloud computing, IoT, and product lifecycle management (PLM). Amazon Contributions (2022 – Present)

At Amazon, Saranya spearheaded the implementation of API features for Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, a serverless streaming data service. She played a key role in increasing the write throughput limit to 2GB/s across all available regions, a milestone that has been a game-changer in the streaming industry. This development addressed a critical customer need for scalability and performance in on-demand streaming.

Infosys Achievements (2015 – 2020)

• Jet Aviation Project: Saranya led the automation of design release workflows for Jet Aviation, Switzerland, drastically reducing turnaround times for aircraft maintenance. This implementation, using Siemens Teamcenter, streamlined processes by integrating notifications, monitoring, and alerts, earning acclaim for transforming operational efficiency in aircraft design.

• Teamcenter Upgrade: Saranya successfully led a team of 12 engineers to upgrade and consolidate Teamcenter software across Germany, China, and Spain. This complex project involved harmonizing diverse data architectures and designing a collaborative data model, resulting in millions of dollars in savings and the establishment of a scalable, multi-regional PLM system.

Tata Consultancy Services (2010 – 2013)

At TCS, Saranya played a pivotal role in the development of "Softlines, Hardlines, and Footwear," a PLM solution for retail and footwear clients. Leading a team of four engineers, she designed an intuitive user interface integrated with backend APIs, supporting features like Bill of Materials, SKU Management, and Costing. This product served prominent clients, including Home Depot, Disney, and Meijer, and was successfully launched to the market.
