Singaravelu Ambikapathi
Senior Software Development Engineer

FELLOW MEMBER
Singaravelu (“Sing”) brings over 15 years of software development and cybersecurity expertise across transportation, global payments, and healthcare. For the past nine years at Amazon, he has been an integral member of a critical foundational systems team supporting both AWS and Amazon.com—leading multiple high-impact initiatives that drive scalability, reliability, and security.
Prior to joining Amazon, Sing played a key role at CNSI, where he helped develop the nation’s first fully automated, real-time, secure cloud-based Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for Michigan and Illinois. This pioneering solution not only reduced costs and improved service delivery for residents but also served as a blueprint for subsequent state cloud implementations, such as in Washington. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the E-ZPass electronic toll-collection project, developing a unified system adopted by multiple state transportation agencies including NYSDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, TxDOT, SCDOT, and NCDOT.
Outside of work, Sing contributes to the technology space as an independent researcher. He has collaborated on a synthetic data privacy assessment project with the University of Washington and regularly shares his insights on various technology media platforms.
An active leader in the cybersecurity community, Sing has presented at BSides events in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Kerala, as well as numerous internal Amazon conferences. He has also served as a reviewer for BSides San Antonio and continues to contribute to Cloud Security Alliance initiatives.
Additionally, Sing is passionate about mentoring the next generation of technology leaders both within his workplace and beyond.
