In an industry where network performance is measured in milliseconds but business impact is measured in millions of dollars, Sonali Priya has built an 11-year career around a rare specialty: making complex telecommunications assurance data intelligible—and operationally decisive—at carrier scale. As Creative Design Director at LB Networks, she sits at the intersection of human-centered design and systems engineering, shaping how network operators, NOCs, and commercial teams interpret performance, compliance, and customer-facing service outcomes.

Her work is rooted in a pragmatic understanding of how telecom organizations actually operate. In many carriers, SLA assurance and backhaul performance reporting remain expert-driven processes—highly technical, slow to execute, and difficult to translate into customer confidence or commercial advantage. LB Networks’ flagship platform, OcularIP, positions itself as a remedy: a cloud-native system intended to speed performance reporting and strengthen backhaul visibility. The company publicly reports that OcularIP is used by “more than 140 service providers,” with “99%” of clients staying over time—signals of both deployment scale and operational stickiness in a market that is not easily won by novelty alone.

Within that platform narrative, the business stakes are explicit. LB Networks publicly describes cases where customers saved “over $7 Million” in credits in the first month when responding to carrier credit requests, and notes that over a year this would equate to “more than $80 Million” in unwarranted penalties—figures that underscore why analytics usability, evidence clarity, and reporting speed matter as much as raw instrumentation.  Sonali’s role, by the nature of her title and scope, is to translate those assurance capabilities into interfaces and workflows that reduce specialist dependency and enable repeatable decision-making across teams.

A defining theme in her portfolio is modernization with commercial intent. She has led UI and UX modernization efforts that are not framed as cosmetic redesigns, but as architecture and design-system upgrades intended to improve speed, consistency, and adoption across enterprise users. LB Networks describes OcularIP as “cloud-native” and “easy to deploy,” with reporting designed to move from specialist-only work to tasks that “can be done in minutes.”  For a design leader, those statements imply a product mandate that combines information design, performance-sensitive front-end execution, and workflow simplification—especially when users include both technical operators and business stakeholders.

She also contributes to outward-facing platform strategies that help carriers monetize transparency. LB Networks positions its Business Service Portal as a mechanism to provide customers with a branded, real-time view of network performance—effectively turning assurance data into a customer experience and sales asset rather than a back-office function.  In parallel, LB Networks’ Type1+ offering is presented as an attempt to extend carrier-grade visibility into “off-net” services—one of the hardest operational realities in wholesale and partner-dependent networks, where accountability is shared but penalties are not.

Industry validation, in Sonali’s domain, often shows up through interoperability and partner ecosystems. LB Networks has announced being named a Nokia NSP “Connected Partner,” positioning its solutions to integrate within carrier-grade operational support environments associated with Nokia’s Network Services Platform ecosystem.  For a design-and-engineering leader building analytics and portals for telecom operators, that kind of ecosystem alignment reinforces a core expectation: the UI layer must faithfully represent data from heterogeneous systems while preserving trust, auditability, and operational usefulness.
