FELLOW MEMBER
Thanigaivel Rangasamy is an enterprise technology and quality assurance leader with 20+ years of experience spanning telecommunications, healthcare, travel, pharmaceuticals, financial services, manufacturing, and e-commerce. Across assignments in Asia, North America, and Europe, he has progressed from Module Lead roles into senior program leadership, consistently operating at the intersection of delivery governance, test strategy, automation, regulatory validation, and large-scale digital transformation. His career is characterized by an ability to stabilize escalated programs, industrialize QA practices, and align cross-functional stakeholders to deliver complex releases in high-pressure enterprise environments.
At Cognizant Technology Solutions, Rangasamy served as Senior Manager – Projects, managing budget and resource planning for Verizon’s Digital Portfolio, including quarterly fund management, LOE documentation, release management, and deployment coordination across Agile core teams. He played a key role in recovering an escalated Electronic Variable Lending Solutions program by streamlining processes and tightening validation procedures (including bill cycle validation). He also supported Verizon’s Next Generation Digital migration from North Star Architecture, overseeing delivery coordination and resolving deployment issues through cross-team governance.
Rangasamy’s Verizon-facing experience extends into security and compliance. At I & I Software Inc., as a Senior Systems Analyst, he handled vulnerability analysis, access administration, and protocol monitoring across TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SSL, SSH, and SMTP—while aligning remediation execution to privacy and regulatory expectations such as CCPA. This work spanned multiple Verizon Business Group initiatives and demanded both technical rigor and disciplined coordination across system owners.
A major thread in Rangasamy’s leadership has been platform-scale data and pricing transformation. He oversaw delivery on Global Customer Hierarchy 2.0, a platform hosting roughly 300 million entities sourced from Dun & Bradstreet, coordinating structured monthly releases with nearly 20 team members. In parallel, his contributions to Verizon’s deal and pricing operations included the Custom Pricing Portal, which digitized Executive Management Review workflows for deals exceeding $10M, managed over 600 EMR documents, and supported $6.5B in bookings—reducing approximately 10,000 manual hours annually. His QA modernization included building and applying regression automation (Selenium + TestNG) and driving contract-rate digitization work that converted 6,500 amendments into structured data, extracting 146,000+ rates and delivering reported $2M annual cost savings.
In the travel sector, Rangasamy has led both traditional QA delivery and scaled Agile transformation. At Travelport, he led the TRIP Engine Agile Release Train under the SAFe framework, executing PI Planning, gap analysis, and CI/CD enablement by integrating automation suites into Jenkins pipelines. His airline work includes engagements with American Airlines across multiple organizations: at Right Click Systems LLC, he led AACOM functional and mobile automation, modernizing testing from UFT to Selenium and implementing mobile automation using Android Studio, Appium, TestNG, Gradle, and GitHub; at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, he served as Senior QA Lead and Business Analyst for AA.com and AACoRN, authoring testing process documentation, shaping enterprise testing strategies, and managing complex programs such as EMV card testing for self-service kiosks. He also participated in major transformation activities tied to the American Airlines and US Airways merger, including the Single Frequent Flyer Program initiative and Passenger Service System cutover events—work that demands exceptional operational discipline and stakeholder coordination.
Rangasamy’s healthcare and life sciences record includes regulated pricing and contract systems at enterprise scale. At Amgen, as Test Manager and Onsite Coordinator, he initiated and led testing for the Global Contract and Pricing System using Model N across Commercial, Medicaid, and Government Pricing modules. He trained and ramped 15 offshore team members, coordinated validation across international implementations (Europe, North America, and Asia, including the Netherlands), standardized QA metrics in HP Quality Center, and ensured validation lifecycle discipline aligned with regulatory expectations. The implementation processed approximately $4B in customer contracts, highlighting work executed under strict compliance constraints and business-critical accuracy requirements.
His international engagements include manufacturing and finance modernization across Europe. As Offshore Test Lead for ThyssenKrupp Steel (Germany), he developed automation frameworks using QTP for an integrated control system. In Luxembourg, he supported La Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat on SIROCO migration, validating replacement of mainframe systems with a VB .NET architecture. In Canada, he coordinated testing for Shaw Communications and Natural Gas Exchange programs, spanning both enhanced trading systems and mainframe gateway projects. He also established SOA testing methodologies for Nestlé Germany’s BPO Software Factory, training teams on SOAPUI-based testing—demonstrating repeatable capability-building across organizations and geographies.
Across earlier e-commerce and financial services work—such as QA for Hpshopping.com shipping and merchandising initiatives and Deutsche Bank FinTS server conformance to HBCI specifications—Rangasamy consistently combined requirements analysis, test planning, automation, and stakeholder alignment. This breadth is reinforced by strong professional credentials, including PMP (valid through March 2028), Certified Scrum Master, SAFe 6 Practitioner, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, and specialized tooling certifications (HP Quality Center) and domain certifications (Model N life sciences revenue management). Recognition through awards from Hewlett-Packard and a Certificate of Excellence from Amgen underscores both delivery excellence and professional reliability.
A defining characteristic of Rangasamy’s career is knowledge transfer and mentorship at scale. He has repeatedly trained teams—offshore and onshore—on domain platforms, SAFe execution, shift-left testing, and DevOps-enabled QA, while also authoring process documentation and participating in engineering practice groups that institutionalize quality. His career narrative reflects a leader who not only delivers projects, but also builds the repeatable systems—processes, automation frameworks, metrics, and governance—that make enterprise delivery sustainable.
