Venkata Babu Mogili is an enterprise digital transformation engineer with 14 years of experience designing, building, administering, and architecting large-scale solutions on Microsoft platforms—most notably SharePoint, Power Platform, Dynamics CRM, and, more recently, Generative AI–enabled knowledge experiences. Across healthcare, insurance, and banking environments, Mogili has repeatedly delivered “systems that become the workplace”: portals, governance frameworks, automated workflows, and role-based experiences that turn fragmented information into secure, searchable, and operationally useful assets.

A defining feature of Mogili’s work is platform engineering discipline applied to business operations. Rather than treating SharePoint and Power Platform as simple collaboration tools, he designs enterprise-grade architectures with controlled metadata, permission models, performance engineering, and API-driven integration—enabling organizations to scale adoption while maintaining compliance and reliability.

At Northwestern Memorial Healthcare (2024–present), Mogili serves as Senior Software Developer leading development of the NM Data Portal—an enterprise Source-of-Truth experience with advanced AI capabilities. The portal implements AI-powered search for intelligent content discovery, combined with advanced metadata tagging that integrates Power BI metadata inside a role-based SharePoint Online environment. By designing custom lists, libraries, and workflows and integrating Power Apps experiences with AI-driven search, he improved data discoverability and reduced time spent locating critical information by 40%. His architecture leveraged Power Automate, APIs, and Power Platform connectors to ensure secure information flow across systems, while enforcing robust role-based access controls and encryption aligned to HIPAA expectations for a 30,000-user ecosystem. Beyond governance, he also delivered performance engineering—reducing load times by 50% through optimization and responsive UI/UX design—and strengthened operational throughput, contributing to a 30% uplift in efficiency through improved accessibility and data governance.

In the preceding year (2023–2024), Mogili led modernization of Insurance On-Demand (iOD) at Northwestern, migrating the platform from Sitecore to SharePoint Online while maintaining 100% data integrity and improving functionality. He integrated EPIC-driven workflows with advanced Power Automate capabilities to support 30,000 users, reducing manual tasks by 35% and improving portal responsiveness by 45%. The outcome was a unified, governed repository for insurance network status, prior-authorization timelines, and credentialed provider information—an operationally significant system that supported measurable revenue impact.

From 2021–2023, Mogili drove automation in the Revenue Cycle Quality Program through centralized SharePoint and Power Platform architecture. He implemented randomized EPIC account selection and integrated Power BI dashboards for performance-based queries and real-time reporting. By building responsive Power Apps portals capable of simultaneous data entry and automating scorecard storage, he increased productivity by 15–20% for a 4,000-user population and reduced resource hours spent on manual QA processes.

Earlier at Northwestern (2020–2021), Mogili executed a major Oracle WebCenter Sites to SharePoint Online migration through a programmatic migration strategy that generated $1.4M in cost savings. He migrated more than 680 departmental sites (6TB+ of data) with zero data loss by implementing rigorous metadata mapping and permission restructuring. He also modernized user experience using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development with React and TypeScript, integrating Power BI dashboards and enhancing enterprise search and collaboration for 40,000 users.

Mogili’s experience prior to healthcare includes large-scale delivery in insurance and banking. At Liberty Mutual (via Unique Key Resources, 2017–2018), he built a SharePoint-based collaboration portal serving 40,000 users and designed automated claim calculators for vehicle and home repair cost assessments, improving task completion speed by 40% while maintaining compliance-focused document governance. At Capgemini (2014–2016), supporting Royal Bank of Scotland, he delivered intranet portals, metadata information management, and enterprise search solutions—integrating Nintex workflows and WCF services, leading upgrades and migrations, and managing multi-location teams to deliver systems serving 7,000 users with measurable business value.

Across all engagements, Mogili’s work reflects a consistent architecture mindset: unify content and process, enforce governance and compliance, automate repetitive workflows, and progressively modernize the experience layer—now extending into AI-powered discovery to reduce cognitive load and improve enterprise decision speed.
